NSS (National Service Scheme)
National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Government of India initiative launched in 1969 under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. It aims to develop the personality and character of students through voluntary community service.
Motto of NSS: “Not Me, But You”
The motto reflects the spirit of selfless service and social responsibility, encouraging students to work for the welfare of society and develop leadership, discipline, and compassion.
NSS Activities Focus On
- Community service activities such as cleanliness drives, health camps, and blood donation camps.
- Rural and urban development initiatives.
- Environmental protection and awareness programs.
- Awareness campaigns related to health, education, and social issues.
